Gratitude!

I was feeling kind of depressed today and I saw this online article about expressing gratitude so that is what I decided to do today.

The article says (and I agree) that one should start a gratitude journal and that is what I decided to do and I'm going to use this blog to do it! So here is my gratitude list for today!

  • I am grateful to be able to work from home. I have not earned a lot of money yet but I am going to!

I have my Google Adsense ads and that has earned me some money and I am very grateful for that! Bigger and better things are coming my way!

  • I am grateful for my house! Yes there are some bills that are causing me a great deal of stress but I can't let that get the best of me! There are people who are in a much more bigger financial problems than me.

  • I am grateful for the food that I had for dinner tonight and I am grateful for the food that is still left in my refridgerator. (I'm also grateful that I have a refridgerator that works!) I have chicken and pork chops and hot dogs in my freezer, not to mention bread, beans, potatoes, onions and pasta - Yum!

  • I'm grateful that it is warm inside of my house. I have blogged before about the government grants that I got to help pay my heating bills and without that grant money I would be in bad shape today!

  • I am also grateful for the skills and talents that I have now! I was reading an article about praying for a financial miracle and the article basically said that instead of just doing nothing that you should take the talents and skills that you do have and make them work for you! And that is what I am doing. It gets hard sometimes and I get depressed and frustrated at times but all that I hear is to keep going and to never give up!

That is my gratitude list for today.

If you are feeling depressed or frustrated start a gratitude journal and write down 5 things that you are grateful for! It will help you to feel much, much better about your life!

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings......

Someone mentioned a quote from Maya Angelou's Book "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" and it made me remember watching the movie on television. It took me a while to actually get the meaning of the title but once I did it made me both sad and happy at the same time! It's actually a very provocative thought when you think about it - at least it is for me!

No matter what one's situation is there just maybe something that one can smile and sing about!

I think about my own situation and realize that there are those that are far more worse off than me. There are many people having more financial difficulty than me, people who don't have food to eat or who don't have any (or enough) money to even pay for food.............

Tiger Woods is in the news about the transgressions that he has admitted to and all I could think of is that there are far more worse problems in the news today and going on in peoples' lives!

It's a windy and rainy night and here I am in my nice warm house and I just ate some dinner. I'll be going to the grocery store tomorrow to buy some more food that I will be able to pay for.

I am very grateful that my childhood was not as traumatic as Maya Angelou's was and the fact that she could rise above the things that have happened to her in her early years just makes me appreciate my life that much more!

Gratitude!

I found a very inspiring article online about gratitude so I have decided to list some of the things that I am grateful for. (If I listed all of the things that I have to be grateful for I think I would tire myself out because I think that this list would be endless!

Here are 5 things that I am grateful for!

  • I managed to get my home off of a pending foreclosure sale!
Boy was that scary! My house was scheduled to be foreclosed on this month and I was just worrying myself sick! Like all the advice has said I decided to take action and turn my fear into curiosity and I called around to find out what I could do to get my home out of foreclosure! The money that was due was for property tax foreclosure and I was hearing stories from my neighbors that you either had to pay up or lose your home to foreclosure! I called around and found out (to make a long story short) that I could make payment arrangements to pay the property taxes in installments and that is what I am in the process of doing now!

Do you know how GOOD it feels to get your house out of foreclosure!

  • I had popcorn (and watched a movie) for dinner tonight! Don't get me wrong I do have some other food in my kitchen but tonight I just felt like having some popcorn and watching a movie.

There have been times when I had no food to eat so I am very grateful for the food that I do have!

  • I am very grateful for my home! My next door neighbor had a fire scare and the firemen were there and there seems to be a lot of inside damage to their house and I know that getting it repaired is going to cost them a lot of money! I already know that they have contractors working on their home now.

  • I am very grateful that I have a computer at home and am able to be online! I know that there are some that don't even have a computer in their home and I was reminded of this when I saw some people at the library. Having my own computer at home means that I can work on it any time of the day and night!

  • I'm very grateful for my family. My parents have passed on but I still have my brother and we talk a lot on the phone.

So there is a partial of my gratitude list.

So what are YOU grateful for today?

Don't You Just Love The Internet!

I checked my comments box and saw that I got 2 comments from "anonymous. The first comment said "Don't pay for grant information" and I'm guessing that that is referring to my blog posts about the government grants that I got to help me with my utility bills.

Now that I think about it it may also have to do with the fact that I'm selling an ebooklet about how I got 2 government grants to help me get my electric turned back on.

I wrote this ebooklet because I know that there are other people who are in the same situation as I am in that they face the possibility of having their electric or other utilities shut off - or they may already have been shut off! Since I, myself was in the exact same situation and managed to get my electric turned back on I figured that there would be others who would be interested in how I did it. I also know that finding this kind of information is hard! I did some checking around and found some good information about grants. There is one blog called Grant Basics 101 that has a lot of information about grant programs and I also did a lot of checking online for other resources as well. Unfortunately this information was hard to come by and that is why I thought of selling an ebooklet about my experience at getting 2 government grants to help me with my utility bill.

It also helps too in that I aspire to be a writer and I have already published my own ebooklet!

The 2nd comment was from "anonymous again saying that they sent me an email. I didn't receive it. Aside from my regular email, the rest of the email that I have gotten has been either spam or junk mail.

Thank You God! Another Small Miracle Has Occurred!

I am oh so very grateful today!

I got a notice of a water shut-off on Wednesday and yesterday I got the good news that I was to be given a small grant to help towards making a payment! This payment will suspend my shut off notice!

This wasn't a government grant though. The money / grant that I got was from a small organization that helps with small payments towards one's utility bill. I found them in the yellow pages!

All I had to do was fax them a copy of my shut-off notice - which I did. The shut off notice was reviewed by them and I got the call yesterday that they contacted my water company and made arrangements with them and that they will be sending a payment to them!

Now this doesn't get me off the hook for the total amount due of the water bill. The organization paid a portion which was just enough to stop them shutting off my water! And for this I am very grateful to that organization!

I am now on a payment plan with my water company!

So I hope this goes to show those who may be in a similar situation that miracles do come true and they do happen!

Paypal!

I have been doing some checking online and found out that Amazon does not let one pay via Paypal. I kind of thought that was hard to believe!

It seems that Amazon.com considers Paypal a competitor and will not let people pay for their Amazon.com items with their Paypal accounts! A lot of people have expressed outrage at this and I really agree with them. A lot of them have said that since they can't use a Paypal option that they refuse to pay Amazon.com anything at all! I also agree with this!

Its hard enough trusting one company with your payment information like your bank account number and your social security number because you want to give out this information as little as possible!

Of course (from my understanding) you can still use a credit card or debit card to pay for your purchases on Amazon.com but there are still a lot of people who want to be able to use their Paypal accounts.

Even Ebay lets you make payments with your Paypal account - but not Amazon.com!

Update! - I just found out that the Barnes and Noble site DOES accept Paypal payments!

Can You Fight Those Bill Collectors?

I'm sure a lot of people out there have had those calls from bill collectors and collection agencies. I found this information online and maybe it will be helpful:

"
In response to.........

a bill collector can and will get an order against you for a cash only warrant on an unpaid bill. In order to do this though, certain things have to happen first. If you have an unpaid bill, they first have to take you to court and get a judgment against you. If you don't appear at this initial hearing a judgment by default will be entered against you.

The next process is then to file a motion and order for supplemental information. Once they have a judgment, they then want to know your financial information, they subpeona you to court and then usually talk to you prior to court to try to arrange a payment based on the information you give them about your income. Usually an agreement is made for whatever it is you can afford even if it is only twenty dollars per month. If you don't appear for this hearing, a judge can issue a cash only warrant usually in the amount of no less than 200 and no more than 1000 dollars, depending on the amount of the bill.

At this point then, you have an active warrant for your arrest and can be thrown in jail. Only to get out when you have paid the cash only bail or see the judge.

This can also happen if you fail to make the payment that you have arranged at a supplemental hearing. The bail amount less whatever the current warrant fee to the court is then applied to your unpaid bill. If you continue to fail to make payments or not show up to ongoing hearings, once they have obtained a judgment you subject yourself to ongoing warrants and potential arrests.

This is for civil actions, usually old utility bills, medical bills etc.

In the case of writing or bouncing a check, it is unlawful in nearly any state to write a bad check, these can usually be taken if over the amount of five hundred dollars to a local police department and criminal charges or arrest can occur. It just depends on how busy the police are and what area you live in. Hope this clears
the matter up for you. Good luck everyone!

And here is a reply posted to the above message:

"Let me tell you about jail and bills. No bill collector will take you to jail. This will not happen. Let me tell you why. It will take $5,000 (or around that
amount) for them to place a court order to get you to jail. Now, think about this. If you owe them like $500.00. Do you think a company will pay 5k to get you to jail on 500.00 that you owe. That is cost effective for the company. If they did that to everyone who owes that company. The company would go broke.

NOw, look at the form letter that you got. That's right, form letter. It is a mind way of making you worry and the more you worry the more they think you will give up.... Fight! fight for your right. Yell at them. Tell them to leave you a lone. Trust me, they have more people on there plates. Look at the letter, listen to
the phone message. Think of what they are really trying say. Act but don't react right away.

You can fix this and you can get it right. Just fight.....

What Is Adsense?

Someone asked me about the Adsense program. They are very interested to work from home and they mentioned that they were not making enough money using paid-to-click sites to cash out.

I sent them a comment that I use Google's Adsense program and the money that I have earned from it has helped me a lot! Even though I'm not an Adsense millionaire today doesn't mean that I won't be one tomorrow! But the money that I have earned so far has helped me to pay some of my bills - especially my Internet service - and to buy food!

So what is the Adsense program? It is a program where you place ads on your website or blog and you get earn money everytime those ads are clicked legitimately. How much do you earn for each click? Well that is going to depend on the subject matter of your site. You see the ads that appear on your site are determined by what words appear on your site. For instance if your website is about computers then your ads are more likely to be about computers.

How much can you make using the Adsense program? Well a lot of that is going to depend on you but here is a link to a blog post about just how much money some people have been making with the Adsense program.

What does it take to belong to Google's Adsense program? First you have to sign up and join. The Adsense site is located here. You will also have to give them information like your social security number. The reason for that is because if you earn over a certain amount yearly (for now I think its $400 - $600), Adsense (and you) have to report it! It is the law.

You will also have to provide them with a link to your website or blog so that it can be reviewed and approved. Once approved you can then go through the steps of picking out how you want your ad to look.

Once you have added the ads to your site you can check in with your account to see how much money you have earned so far. The rule is that you must earn at least $100 during the month before Adsense will issue you a payment either in regular check form or by bank deposit / EFT.

Like I said before this money has definitely come in handy and you should know that there are already some Adsense Millionaires out there!

I Am SO Mad I Could Spit!

I won't go into detail but I was expecting some money from somewhere and I haven't even received it yet! I put my request in last month and I STILL haven't received it yet! Apparently there seems to be a problem with processing the money BUT yet and still I see that the site is announcing their newest blog post but they haven't said anything about the progress of the processing problem!. This makes me so mad! and frustrated!

Very strong emotions! And I firmly believe that one can worry so much that it can actually make one's self ill!

I have emailed this site numerously and have gotten some replies back - but none of those replies has resulted in me getting my money yet! And what makes it hurt even more is that they have been helping other members financially - even those that have become members after me!

I just do not believe that this is fair in the least and I continue to try and find out why it is taking so long for me to receive my money! But it seems like the harder I try, the more frustrated I get and the less results I get! I think that it is horrible to be holding someone's money and not release it to them!

This is something that I just HAD to vent about! I read online about people having problems both financially and spiritually and when I reply to them I tell them to not give up hope and to keep trying and to keep on keeping on - and this is now the advice that I have to follow myself!

I'm still not going to give up though but I sorely needed to vent my anger and frustration somewhere! I do feel a little bit better now!

Thank You To Everybody!

I just wanted to thank everybody that is trying to help me including those who are also offering words of encouragement!

It's just so good to see that there are people out there who offer whatever it is they can give whether it be money for donations or just words of encouragement!

It really means a lot to me and I just wanted to say

Thank You

to you all!

What I Am Grateful For!

I have been feeling sad and angry lately so that means that its time for me to think about all the things that I am grateful for! I know that there are people who are much more worse off than me and I do have a lot of things to be grateful for.

In the past, the law of attraction has worked for me as far as being able to manifest small amounts of money but I think that when I want to manifest the most - I try too hard and I think that is the case now.

I did have the promise of some money being sent to me but for whatever reason it hasn't been sent yet - thus the reason for my feelings of anger and frustration. So its time to take a look at the things that I am grateful for.

I'm grateful for the food that I have! It may not be much but there had been a time when I actually had NO food! No bread, no crackers, no meat! There were times when water was my only meal and you know I was even grateful for that because it meant that I still had water!

I got some good news from legal aid! It seems that there is the possibility that my mortgage company was doing unfair mortgaging and they are looking into it further!

I got my monthly electric and heating bill and the amount due is $0 - I'm very grateful for that!

It's a gorgeous day outside and so nice for it being the beginning of the July 4 weekend. I have to admit that I am a bit of a hermit and enjoy working at my computer but I can hear what's going on by listening to my radio and tuning in to the local stations.

Yes I do have a lot to be grateful for and I do these gratitude lists when I'm feeling down and depressed. It's something that you may want to try yourself.

The Law Of Attraction And Getting Out Of Debt?

If you're like me then there may be times when you worry about your bills and not having any money. You feel sad and depressed and maybe even a little bit angry! I was feeling this way myself and then I happened upon this online blog post:

How do I manifest money when I’m so worried about being in debt?

Q: Dear Anisa,

“I’m currently part time. I was in college but quit after I found out it wasn’t what I wanted to do. I have about $20,000 in debt and $960 on my credit card. I’m panicking because I really don’t know how I’m going to pay it all off! Which is why I was looking for ways to manifest hoping it would help me in some way. So, I suppose that is my questions. I’m tired of having money problems. I would just love to finally be able to enjoy my life and not worry about being broke. What would you recommend i do to manifest wealth and prosperity? ” –Thank you

The answer given was something that I have seen many times but still it seems that I have to be reminded of it and that is why I think the law of attraction led me to the blog site and that particular entry.

In a nutshell the advice is to not think of yourself as having a lack of money but to think of yourself as having an abundance of money!

Hope!

"

Hope is the physician

of each misery

"

Have you ever felt really bad?

I came upon this quote in my email today and I thought that I would pass it along to you! So many people are feeling so terrible, bad, depressed and frustrated - and that includes me too! - that sometimes one doesn't know where to turn!

I interpret the above quote to mean that no matter how bad one is feeling that one should always feel hope!

"

With God

All Things Are Possible!

"

I was listening to a speech by Dr. Wayne Dyer and the above is what he said!

What it means to me is exactly what it says which is "All things are possible!"

No matter what it is that you are going through please remember that there is hope! I have read and seen on tv about the many miracles that have been happening around the world! It's not just bad news out there but some good ones too! Like the woman who was able to stop the foreclosure of her home because she put up a web site and got enough in donations to save her home from foreclosure! I believe that one can classify that as a miracle!

So no matter what it is you are going through, please remember not to give up hope!

Very good advice indeed! And one that I should remember myself!

Do What You Love...................

I found another inspiring article about doing what you love to do!

This is something that I firmly believe myself!

Although it is hard and sometimes frustrating, I realize that I have to continue to go on! Keep the faith. Never give up!

I love working on my computer but it can be frustrating at times because I haven't manifested the kind of wealth that I want - YET - but I haven't given up and I continue to do what I love - which is working on the computer!

I have managed to make some money online using Google's Adsense program and it is something that I firmly suggest to others if you want to be able to make money online. If you want to know more about Google's Adsense program, just click here.

So I am continuing to do what I love. I am continuing to keep the faith and I will continue to not give up!

A Financial Miracle!

Something that I need so badly!

I'm going over all my notes from

the law of attraction

and basically what it comes down to is belief and faith!

Ask and it is given....

I know that there have been examples of financial miracles in one's life. I saw one program telling about how a woman was afraid that she was going to lose her mother's home to foreclosure and she worried about it so much that it almost made her ill!

But guess what happened? Before the foreclosure sale it was ruled that she didn't have to continue to pay the mortgage plus she got back all of the mortgage payments that she made!

Now that was a financial miracle!

I'm working at manifesting the same kind of financial miracle in my own life!

Please wish me luck and send me your prayers!

"As A Man Thinketh"

If you notice on the side of my blog is my mission station and my mission statement is to be a

MILLIONAIRE

and live off of the interest!

Here is a link to a free download of the publication "As A Man Thinketh"

I got the link from a very interesting blog that talks a lot about the law of attraction!

Is it possible to become a millionaire in a short (and I mean a real short) amount of time? The answer seems to be that it is possible and that you are only limited by the limiting thoughts that you have!

I Have To Keep On Going!

Basically that is what all the messages, sermons and advice has said!

I'm so depressed now because it just seems like money is staying away from me in all kinds of ways! But then that was when I looked at some of my past blog posts and just realized how lucky and grateful I am for the things that have happened in my life to a positive affect!

I looked at my blog post where I mentioned about the 2 government grants that I got to get my lights (and heat) shut back on and I realize that this was a true blessing in and of itself!

I am also using my talents as a writer to sell my own ebooklet about how I did get those 2 government grants to help with my heating bill!

I read somewhere that people have such limiting beliefs about money and that we should change the way that we think about money. Remember before when I said at the beginning of this blog post that it seems that money just seems to stay away from me? Well that isn't always true! I have found money on the street, received some discounts and savings as well - all examples of money flowing into my life!

I know that it is my attitude that is affecting how money is flowing into my life because there have been a few times when I have attracted money into my life. The

law of attraction

really does work!

It's just that for today (actually the past few days) that I have been feeling down and depressed and downright angry about my lack of money - which in and of itself says something because I'm emphasizing having a lack of money when I should be focusing on having an abundance of money - therein lies my solution!

Please remember to enjoy your day and take some time out to think about the things that you are grateful for!

How I Got 2 Government Grants To Help Pay My Electric Bill!

I thought that since one of the things that I love to do is write is that I would write about something that recently happened to me!

With all this talk about government grants and how people can't find any information about them, I thought that I would write about my own experience and publish and sell it as an ebooklet!

So far the title is:

How I Got 2 Government Grants To Help Me Pay My Electric Bill!

(and get my electric service turned back on!)

So far that is my working title.

At the time that I started writing this my electric and heating had been shut off by my utility company and I wasn't even aware that they were going to do so! Yes I did have a balance that was due, but I was told to disregard my last shut-off noticed and I did!

Fortunately I had some information about government grant programs that could help with paying one's heating bill and I had applied for one of them and got a grant of just over $500 to help pay towards the back balance that I owed. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to stop my utilities from being shut off so I found out about another grant program that also helps those who have had their electric and / or heating shut off!

I figured that since these 2 grant programs helped me with turning my power back on that it would be a good idea to put my experience down on paper (well computer anyway - LOL!) and offer it as an ebooklet to sell!

So if you're interested in finding out more about these government grant programs and how they worked for me, I will send you a copy of my ebooklet for a $25 donation.

The ebooklet is available in .pdf format and when making your donation, make sure to include your email address so that I can email the ebooklet directly to you. Please be advised that all donations are final! and once you receive the ebooklet there will be NO Refunds!

Joel Osteen

For some real Joel Osteen is a very popular internet search today?

I remember first hearing about him when I was watching 60 Minutes on tv. Apparently he and his preaching and his ministry has become very popular but he was also getting some criticism as well. Apparently some though that his preaching sermons were not related to God.

Personally I have listened to some of his sermons and they have brought quite a bit of comfort to me. There have been times when problems are weighing heavily on my shoulders and his sermon will be related to something like this.

I remember about one of his sermons in particular about not holding grudges against other people which made a lot of sense to me!

I also remember one particular time when the show TMZ was taking pictures of him while he and his wife were checking into their hotel and I was very impressed with the fact that Mr. Osteen didn't let them get to him - very impressive!

So for right now I don't have a problem with Joel Osteen! His sermons have provided very helpful and inspiring and very motivationally inspiration to me and I will continue to watch his programs and listen to his sermons.

I'm Trying To Keep My Hopes Up!

I'm trying to keep my spirits and my hopes up high! You know what they say "you may be down but you're not out!"

There are a lot of things that I have that I should be and am grateful for! You never know how good you have it until you start watching the news and seeing a story on someone who is more worse off than you! People losing their homes to fires or foreclosures and even those who have lost their lives!

I was able to pay my internet access for another month, my utilities are still on (as you can tell from me typing this blog entry) and I'm waiting word for a government grant to help pay with some of my heating bill! As a matter of fact my heating bill got a huge portion of it taken out because of some "adjustment" that my heating company had made and since this is a very cold winter - I can use all the help that I can get!

I have food in my refridgerator and I have my Adsense income that is helping me!

I'm also reading a book about self-improvement and its helping me when I don't have all those negative thoughts whirling around in my head! Basically the book is saying that we are all here for a purpose. Everyone has unique talents and abilities that they can contribute to the world and this is something that I absolutely believe to be true!

I love working on the computer and I love being able to work from home and I have come to agree that this is my passion!

I haven't completed my income taxes yet but I know that it has to be done. Since I am self-employed and work from home, I won't be getting a refund though because I have to pay a self-employment tax - but the paperwork still needs to be done - but on the bright side I still have some time before it is due.

I keep trying to remind myself of my mission statement which is to have a million dollars in the bank so that I can live off the interest so that I can pursue what it is that I love to do which is working on my computer.

I hope that this blog will help serve as an inspiration to those who are feeling depressed, frustrated and worthless. We may be down but we are not out yet! It ain't over yet!

Do You HATE Your Job?

I was just reading someone's blog about how much they hated the jobs that they had and how they had a voice inside of them longing to reach their desire about working from home.

This reminded me of myself because I really had felt the same way! Although in my particular case the circumstances were a little bit different in that my mother was ill and I wanted to be able to work from home so that things would be easier and also spend less money on commuting.

I love working on my computer and the first time that I actually got paid for computer work convinced me that this is what I want to do with my life!

Now times have been tough and there were some very lean times but it is what I want to do! The economy be damned!
