Don't You Just Love The Internet!

I checked my comments box and saw that I got 2 comments from "anonymous. The first comment said "Don't pay for grant information" and I'm guessing that that is referring to my blog posts about the government grants that I got to help me with my utility bills.

Now that I think about it it may also have to do with the fact that I'm selling an ebooklet about how I got 2 government grants to help me get my electric turned back on.

I wrote this ebooklet because I know that there are other people who are in the same situation as I am in that they face the possibility of having their electric or other utilities shut off - or they may already have been shut off! Since I, myself was in the exact same situation and managed to get my electric turned back on I figured that there would be others who would be interested in how I did it. I also know that finding this kind of information is hard! I did some checking around and found some good information about grants. There is one blog called Grant Basics 101 that has a lot of information about grant programs and I also did a lot of checking online for other resources as well. Unfortunately this information was hard to come by and that is why I thought of selling an ebooklet about my experience at getting 2 government grants to help me with my utility bill.

It also helps too in that I aspire to be a writer and I have already published my own ebooklet!

The 2nd comment was from "anonymous again saying that they sent me an email. I didn't receive it. Aside from my regular email, the rest of the email that I have gotten has been either spam or junk mail.

Thank You God! Another Small Miracle Has Occurred!

I am oh so very grateful today!

I got a notice of a water shut-off on Wednesday and yesterday I got the good news that I was to be given a small grant to help towards making a payment! This payment will suspend my shut off notice!

This wasn't a government grant though. The money / grant that I got was from a small organization that helps with small payments towards one's utility bill. I found them in the yellow pages!

All I had to do was fax them a copy of my shut-off notice - which I did. The shut off notice was reviewed by them and I got the call yesterday that they contacted my water company and made arrangements with them and that they will be sending a payment to them!

Now this doesn't get me off the hook for the total amount due of the water bill. The organization paid a portion which was just enough to stop them shutting off my water! And for this I am very grateful to that organization!

I am now on a payment plan with my water company!

So I hope this goes to show those who may be in a similar situation that miracles do come true and they do happen!

Paypal!

I have been doing some checking online and found out that Amazon does not let one pay via Paypal. I kind of thought that was hard to believe!

It seems that Amazon.com considers Paypal a competitor and will not let people pay for their Amazon.com items with their Paypal accounts! A lot of people have expressed outrage at this and I really agree with them. A lot of them have said that since they can't use a Paypal option that they refuse to pay Amazon.com anything at all! I also agree with this!

Its hard enough trusting one company with your payment information like your bank account number and your social security number because you want to give out this information as little as possible!

Of course (from my understanding) you can still use a credit card or debit card to pay for your purchases on Amazon.com but there are still a lot of people who want to be able to use their Paypal accounts.

Even Ebay lets you make payments with your Paypal account - but not Amazon.com!

Update! - I just found out that the Barnes and Noble site DOES accept Paypal payments!

Can You Fight Those Bill Collectors?

I'm sure a lot of people out there have had those calls from bill collectors and collection agencies. I found this information online and maybe it will be helpful:

"
In response to.........

a bill collector can and will get an order against you for a cash only warrant on an unpaid bill. In order to do this though, certain things have to happen first. If you have an unpaid bill, they first have to take you to court and get a judgment against you. If you don't appear at this initial hearing a judgment by default will be entered against you.

The next process is then to file a motion and order for supplemental information. Once they have a judgment, they then want to know your financial information, they subpeona you to court and then usually talk to you prior to court to try to arrange a payment based on the information you give them about your income. Usually an agreement is made for whatever it is you can afford even if it is only twenty dollars per month. If you don't appear for this hearing, a judge can issue a cash only warrant usually in the amount of no less than 200 and no more than 1000 dollars, depending on the amount of the bill.

At this point then, you have an active warrant for your arrest and can be thrown in jail. Only to get out when you have paid the cash only bail or see the judge.

This can also happen if you fail to make the payment that you have arranged at a supplemental hearing. The bail amount less whatever the current warrant fee to the court is then applied to your unpaid bill. If you continue to fail to make payments or not show up to ongoing hearings, once they have obtained a judgment you subject yourself to ongoing warrants and potential arrests.

This is for civil actions, usually old utility bills, medical bills etc.

In the case of writing or bouncing a check, it is unlawful in nearly any state to write a bad check, these can usually be taken if over the amount of five hundred dollars to a local police department and criminal charges or arrest can occur. It just depends on how busy the police are and what area you live in. Hope this clears
the matter up for you. Good luck everyone!

And here is a reply posted to the above message:

"Let me tell you about jail and bills. No bill collector will take you to jail. This will not happen. Let me tell you why. It will take $5,000 (or around that
amount) for them to place a court order to get you to jail. Now, think about this. If you owe them like $500.00. Do you think a company will pay 5k to get you to jail on 500.00 that you owe. That is cost effective for the company. If they did that to everyone who owes that company. The company would go broke.

NOw, look at the form letter that you got. That's right, form letter. It is a mind way of making you worry and the more you worry the more they think you will give up.... Fight! fight for your right. Yell at them. Tell them to leave you a lone. Trust me, they have more people on there plates. Look at the letter, listen to
the phone message. Think of what they are really trying say. Act but don't react right away.

You can fix this and you can get it right. Just fight.....

What Is Adsense?

Someone asked me about the Adsense program. They are very interested to work from home and they mentioned that they were not making enough money using paid-to-click sites to cash out.

I sent them a comment that I use Google's Adsense program and the money that I have earned from it has helped me a lot! Even though I'm not an Adsense millionaire today doesn't mean that I won't be one tomorrow! But the money that I have earned so far has helped me to pay some of my bills - especially my Internet service - and to buy food!

So what is the Adsense program? It is a program where you place ads on your website or blog and you get earn money everytime those ads are clicked legitimately. How much do you earn for each click? Well that is going to depend on the subject matter of your site. You see the ads that appear on your site are determined by what words appear on your site. For instance if your website is about computers then your ads are more likely to be about computers.

How much can you make using the Adsense program? Well a lot of that is going to depend on you but here is a link to a blog post about just how much money some people have been making with the Adsense program.

What does it take to belong to Google's Adsense program? First you have to sign up and join. The Adsense site is located here. You will also have to give them information like your social security number. The reason for that is because if you earn over a certain amount yearly (for now I think its $400 - $600), Adsense (and you) have to report it! It is the law.

You will also have to provide them with a link to your website or blog so that it can be reviewed and approved. Once approved you can then go through the steps of picking out how you want your ad to look.

Once you have added the ads to your site you can check in with your account to see how much money you have earned so far. The rule is that you must earn at least $100 during the month before Adsense will issue you a payment either in regular check form or by bank deposit / EFT.

Like I said before this money has definitely come in handy and you should know that there are already some Adsense Millionaires out there!

I Am SO Mad I Could Spit!

I won't go into detail but I was expecting some money from somewhere and I haven't even received it yet! I put my request in last month and I STILL haven't received it yet! Apparently there seems to be a problem with processing the money BUT yet and still I see that the site is announcing their newest blog post but they haven't said anything about the progress of the processing problem!. This makes me so mad! and frustrated!

Very strong emotions! And I firmly believe that one can worry so much that it can actually make one's self ill!

I have emailed this site numerously and have gotten some replies back - but none of those replies has resulted in me getting my money yet! And what makes it hurt even more is that they have been helping other members financially - even those that have become members after me!

I just do not believe that this is fair in the least and I continue to try and find out why it is taking so long for me to receive my money! But it seems like the harder I try, the more frustrated I get and the less results I get! I think that it is horrible to be holding someone's money and not release it to them!

This is something that I just HAD to vent about! I read online about people having problems both financially and spiritually and when I reply to them I tell them to not give up hope and to keep trying and to keep on keeping on - and this is now the advice that I have to follow myself!

I'm still not going to give up though but I sorely needed to vent my anger and frustration somewhere! I do feel a little bit better now!

Thank You To Everybody!

I just wanted to thank everybody that is trying to help me including those who are also offering words of encouragement!

It's just so good to see that there are people out there who offer whatever it is they can give whether it be money for donations or just words of encouragement!

It really means a lot to me and I just wanted to say

Thank You

to you all!

What I Am Grateful For!

I have been feeling sad and angry lately so that means that its time for me to think about all the things that I am grateful for! I know that there are people who are much more worse off than me and I do have a lot of things to be grateful for.

In the past, the law of attraction has worked for me as far as being able to manifest small amounts of money but I think that when I want to manifest the most - I try too hard and I think that is the case now.

I did have the promise of some money being sent to me but for whatever reason it hasn't been sent yet - thus the reason for my feelings of anger and frustration. So its time to take a look at the things that I am grateful for.

I'm grateful for the food that I have! It may not be much but there had been a time when I actually had NO food! No bread, no crackers, no meat! There were times when water was my only meal and you know I was even grateful for that because it meant that I still had water!

I got some good news from legal aid! It seems that there is the possibility that my mortgage company was doing unfair mortgaging and they are looking into it further!

I got my monthly electric and heating bill and the amount due is $0 - I'm very grateful for that!

It's a gorgeous day outside and so nice for it being the beginning of the July 4 weekend. I have to admit that I am a bit of a hermit and enjoy working at my computer but I can hear what's going on by listening to my radio and tuning in to the local stations.

Yes I do have a lot to be grateful for and I do these gratitude lists when I'm feeling down and depressed. It's something that you may want to try yourself.
